2 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
Sift together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add shortening and cut it in. Beat egg, add milk. Beat together and add to flour mixture. Mix lightly. Bake in oven 400 F for 20 minutes
