Quiche Recipe

Another recipe from the Good Housekeeping Cookbook
page 345- called Switzerland Cheese and Onion Pie
On the page with Quiches
Mainly as a reference for the quantities of milk and eggs

1 9" unbaked pie shell
2 onions, large, thinly sliced (about 1 cup)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 lb natural Swiss cheese, grated
1 tablespoon flour
3 eggs
1 cup milk or light cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Summary of directionsF
Preheat oven to 400
Saute onions, put in pie plate,
Toss cheese with flour, add to onions
Beat eggs well
Stir in milk, salt
pour over cheese
Bake 20 minutes
Reduce heat to 300, bake for another 25 minutes or until knife inserted in centre comes out clean
Serve hot
